People often ask how someone becomes both a therapist and an executive coach.

The answer is simple. I’ve always been fascinated by people.

Not just why we struggle — though that matters. I’ve been just as curious about why some people flourish. Why certain leaders inspire trust the moment they walk into a room. Why some teams thrive while others quietly unravel. Why incredibly capable people sometimes feel disconnected from the very lives they’ve worked so hard to build.

For more than a decade, I’ve helped people understand the patterns that shape how they think, lead, communicate, and connect. Along the way, I founded Mend Counseling and built it into a growing multidisciplinary practice. I consulted with organizations, coached entrepreneurs and executives, and facilitated workshops and presentations for thousands of professionals — including some of the country’s most demanding law firms.

Somewhere in all of that, a realization took hold.

Most people don’t need more information. They need better awareness.

Because awareness changes decisions. Decisions change relationships. Relationships change organizations. And organizations change communities.

That belief eventually became Actualize Atelier. A place where psychology meets leadership. Where insight meets strategy. Where meaningful growth becomes practical.

I still believe people are wonderfully complex. I also believe growth doesn’t have to feel heavy. Some of the most meaningful breakthroughs happen while laughing around a conference table, walking outside, sketching ideas on a napkin, or asking one really good question.

If we work together, expect depth. Expect curiosity. Expect practical tools. Expect honesty.

Probably good coffee. Definitely good conversation.
